Elise Ruth Robstad is a Norwegian actress, performance artist and architect. After studying visual arts in Oslo, Elipse explores theatre, including the renowned ‘Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq’ in Paris, where she is also introduced to art performance. Fascinated by society and public space, she does her Masters in architecture at the ‘Ecole Nationale d’Architecture Paris La Villette’ (ENSAPLV). Her Research Master thesis implements performance art techniques to enlarge site specific approach, focusing on local culture, usage and resources. Both nature and urban living are of great inspiration and fascination. Her various life and cultural experiences, from growing up in a tiny fishing village on the southern coast of Norway, many years in Paris, to the megalopolises of Mexico City and recently New Delhi, constitute valuable experiences to the experience and understanding of the human being, spatiality and society, adding to her artistic and architectural journey.
