Trained in Kathak and Kathakali, Astad Deboo developed an unique dance style and taught this to even deaf and dumb young dancers and enthralled the world. Till his last breath, Astad helped several families struggling to make their ends meet during the pandemic. Established in 2002, the Foundation has mentored young, underprivileged students, improving their lives by training them in Contemporary Indian Dance.
