About J.D. Fernández Molero
J.D. Fernández Molero is a Peruvian filmmaker whose visionary works fuse the poetic and the political. His second feature, Videophilia (and Other Viral Syndromes) (2015), won the Tiger Award at Rotterdam and represented Peru at the Oscars. His latest film, Punku, premiered at the 75th Berlinale and has since travelled to major festivals, including Cartagena, BAFICI, and Melbourne.

About the Film
Punku (“gateway” in Quechua) is a hauntingly beautiful journey through the Peruvian Amazon, where a young woman rescues a lost boy and carries him toward healing, ambition, and illusion. Shot on 16 mm, Super 8, and digital, it blurs the line between dream and reality—opening a cinematic portal into overlapping worlds.

About Natasha Mendonca
Natasha Mendonca is an award-winning Mumbai-based filmmaker and artist. Her debut, Jan Villa, won the Tiger Award at Rotterdam, followed by the acclaimed features Strange Love/Ajeeb Aashiq and Land of the Breasted Woman, which screened at the Berlin Biennale and Wexner Center for the Arts. She is also the co-founder of Larzish—India’s first international film festival on gender and sexuality.
