About the curator: Agents of Ishq is India’s best-loved platform for all things sex, love, desire and desi. Their exuberant  sex-education content has created a breakthrough Indian language for sex and desire, with wit, warmth and deeply emotional politics. Their archive of personal essays and histories of sexuality, reveals a different, fluid India.

About the event: An evening designed for sensory delight, AOI will present: Stories of extraordinary people from India’s sexual history in zestful, tiny performances; a political philosophy of love in a teeny talk; an exuberant conversation about how discussing sex, love and desire can decolonise our hearts and bring us closer to our authentic selves, and an open mic featuring erotic/tharki poetry across time – from ancient India to the present! On the walls will be an interactive exhibit to help us reflect on a different idea of Indian-ness.

The Ice Factory at Ballard Estate (IFBE) is an experimental laboratory for transdisciplinary practices across modern and contemporary architecture, art, and pedagogy.
